Good Neighbor Wood Fences
All of the Good Neighbor styles are identical on each side. That may be why the Good Neighbor is our most popular design. It is accomplished by decoratively framing in the fence. The posts have caps, and are placed between the fence panels, and extended slightly higher than the fence. Not only does this create a more attractive fence, but helps to break up the view of the fence as a whole. All of the fences are custom built, and most styles can be created into a Good Neighbor Design. All of the boards and framework are made out of rough sawn White Cedar, and the posts are treated Red Pine. Each fence is built on-site by skilled craftsmen, and nothing is prefabricated.

Reverse Runner™ Wood Fences
The Reverse Runner styles are decorative fences, but are more traditional in style. They are designed with framing only on the back. The posts are what set the Reverse Runners^TM apart from the other styles. The posts are extended slightly higher than the fence, and positioned between each section to set them apart. Customer's can keep their design simple by placing caps on the posts or they can add other features such as balls or Finial posts. All of the Reverse Runner^TM fences are custom built to the customer's requirements, and most of the designs can be created into a Reverse Runner^TM. They are constructed of rough sawn White Cedar boards and framework and treated Red Pine posts.

Standard Runner™ Wood Fences
The Standard Runner^TM Fence is the most basic design of all three categories of wood fences. The posts are placed behind the fence and set lower than the fence line. It is custom built, and works well as a simple picket fence, board on board (shadow box), or solid privacy fence. It is constructed of rough sawn White Cedar boards and framework and treated Red Pine posts.

Aluminized Chain Link Fence
Typical of our company philosophy, our chain link fences are built to last. All of the chain link wire is aluminized. Aluminized wire is warranted against rust for thirty years. The process that aluminized material goes through will also make it a stronger and stiffer wire versus a Galvanized wire. Galvanized wire will begin rusting in a few years. The pipe and framework used on our chain link fences are all hot dipped galvanized. We always use thicker posts and top rail in the construction of the fence. All of these factors will contribute to the long life that an Elyria Fence Co. chain link fence will see.

Ornamental Iron and Aluminum Fencing & Railing
The traditional "old world" ornamental iron is still one of the most beautiful and decorative options available. Though it is extremely decorative do not let its pretty face deceive you. It is one of the strongest sturdiest fences available. It is common to see these as security fences designed to accommodate automatic door openers and other security systems. Anymore, the Wrought Iron is being replaced by powder coated galvanized steel. It is extremely strong, however, is mass produced and therefore a bit less expensive. Elyria Fence also works with a very talented artisan who creates custom ornamental wrought iron by hand. The quality of the product is unmatched in strength and beauty. Ornamental aluminum is another option, which is designed to look similar to an ornamental iron fence. By going with the Aluminum, customers can have the look of an ornamental fence, but not incur the costs associated with ornamental iron fencing. Of course, typically aluminum can not match the strength of an iron or steel fence. However, our manufacturer offers a special aluminum alloy which will rival the strength of steel. This is the only manufacturer that offers this product.

Polyvinyl Fences and Railing
Our vinyl fences and railing are manufactured by Kroy Building Products. These fences are maintenance free in respect to painting, and they carry a lifetime warranty. They are available in a variety of designs and heights. Kroy Building Products has been extremely flexible in the designs. Although the styles are prefabricated, they strive to meet the needs of our customers. The Elyria Fence Company spent a lot of time researching the various manufacturers of vinyl fencing. There are a lot of companies out there providing the product; however, not all of those companies are providing a good product. We feel that Kroy Building Products has a product that we are proud to hang our company sign on.

Wood Decks, Composite Decks and Vinyl Decks
All of our wood decks are custom built by carpenters with years of experience, and pride in their work. Customers can be as simple or as decorative as they choose. Whether it is a grill extension or a framed in hot tub our company will create a deck that will provide years of enjoyment.
The deck floor boards are treated #1 Yellow Pine. The posts and framing are also treated, and the railing is made from rough sawn White Cedar or treated yellow pine. We use #1 Yellow Pine for its reputation to have fewer knots, less bark and less sap than other species that are commonly used. Woods such as Red Pine or Ponderosa Pine tend to produce more sap, and have a greater tendency to twist. When a treated wood is stamped with #1 it is recognized by the National Lumber Industry as being the best available in that species. Of course, by using a treated material on decks the customer is provided with a manufacturer's lifetime warranty against rot and deterioration.
The species of wood that Elyria Fence uses is only half the battle. Each deck is only built with 2x6 material for the floorboards. This provides a floor with a more solid and sturdy feel and look to it. The posts are extended all the way up to attach the railing. Our railing is framed in to create a finished look on both sides. If a wood deck isn't the look you're after, we also offer composite decks and vinyl decks. Both materials are provided by the Kroy Building Products Company.
