This deck was constructed of a combination of MicroPro treated #1 Yellow Pine and Timberlast Kroy Composite decking. The #1 should represent that there are fewer knots, no wane or bark and of course no rot. This is inspected by the National Lumber Industry, and carries a manufacturers lifetime warranty against rot or deterioration. As a company, we are very pleased with Yellow Pine as a deck material. It produces less sap and less twisting as compared to Red Pine or Ponderosa Pine.
All of our decks are set with concrete, and the post is brought up to create a support for the railing. All of our railing is framed on both sides to create a finished, Good Neighbor® look. The composite floor boards are 5/4" x 5-1/2", and they carry a 15 year Limited Warranty. The composite deck is available in three colors, Redwood, Driftwood (shown above), and Sandalwood. The composite material from Kroy is extremely unique due to the fact that is constructed with a wood and polymer combination. Not only has Kroy been ingenious enough to use wood powder for added strength, but they've encapsulated the wood powder in a polymer. Customers no longer have to deal with the hassles of a composite deck mainly constructed of milk jugs. The new Kroy composite option eliminates the old hassles of lack of strength, swelling and splitting. As with everything we do, our decks are custom-built which allows the customer to be as decorative or as simple as they choose. Each customer's needs are unique, and a composite deck may not be the best choice for everyone. Composite decks are resistant to penetrating stains due to its blend of wood and a plastic that binds the wood together. It is also pest resistant, and does not require staining, painting or sealing, though it will take a stain if you prefer. The Timberlast Kroy Composite Deck is also water resistant and provides a slip resistant footing.
For the convenience of our customers we provide installations year around, however, be sure to plan ahead on your installation. The summer months are very busy, and this will allow us to accommodate for your holiday parties or pool installation.
